Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that builds houses for those who are less fortunate. Using affordable home ownership as an anchor for hope, change, and stability, Dallas Habitat has served more than 1,600 low-income families since 1986, resulting in an investment of approx. 150 million in more than 25 Dallas area neighborhoods. Habitat families pay nearly 2 million annually in property taxes in the Dallas County.
The wonderful sisters of SPO sacrificed their early Saturday morning to clear the foundation of any remaining trees for houses to be built or placed upon. No one expected the laborious task at hand, but for the good of the community, each sister worked diligently to finish what they started! |
